We realize that eating and drinking is a very important part of your event experience. A meeting will be much more fun and effective when you can enjoy tasty and good food. Our chef Henk van Veluw is aware of his contribution to your event. He knows better than anyone how food can make a positive contribution to you and your guests during your event. The dishes in our food book are carefully selected so that you and your guests are presented with the right nutrients at the right time of the day. Our foodbook is 50% vegan, taking into account a variety of dietary requirements, as well as our environment. We are solely focused on meeting and exceeding all your expectations, regardless of the size of your event. We make conscious choices to find an optimal balance between the interests of our guests and customers, employees, the environment and society. That is why we mainly work with local, traditional suppliers. As a result, we achieve a sustainable balance in our arrangements and the CO2 footstep is as small as possible. In our purchasing policy we try to purchase sustainable products where possible. Given that we often provide large numbers of guests with a meal within a short period of time, we are always looking for working methods or even formulas to create less food waste. In addition, we are always looking for options to process unused food in the best possible way or to give it an alternative destination, without it having to be disposed of as waste.

At the Beurs van Berlage you can choose from various historical rooms that will undoubtedly inspire you and your guests. Together with your Event Manager the best set-up for your event will be determined.
Floorplans
The Beurs van Berlage has a professional team, capable of drawing all the halls accurately digitally. This allows them to create a specific floorplan with the desired set-up for each event and each room.
This also applies for the placement of booths on the conference floor and the installation of power points. In addition to the ‘normal’ outlets in the rooms there are a number of special features that make it possible to use more and larger equipment. It is possible to use power flow. The Event Manager will draw the plan and the costs will be calculated.
The Event Manager will also advise on the set-up, taking into account emergency exits and other safety regulations.
Amsterdam Conference Centre Beurs van Berlage has an internet infrastructure that can be used for events for guests. This infrastructure has been implemented twice, provided with professional active components (router, firewall, switches) and connected to three fiber optic networks, so that the speed and reliability are at a high level.
Internet in the Beurs
Switches and Routers form the backbone of the network. They are continuously monitored and configurations can be made remotely or locally. Routers ensure the (secure) connection between the network at the Beurs and the Internet.
The network runs throughout the entire building and provides almost all halls and spaces with fixed connections. This network forms the basis of the digital facilities, such as internet (wiring and wireless) via fixed (UTP) connections, possibly telephony and special networks. In addition, professional wireless transmitters have been installed at various locations that can be used for events on request. These wireless features can handle large numbers of users at the same time.
The channels can be customized by us and adjusted to your wishes, so that we can serve every event in terms of internet. The internet provider is Signet and Eurofiber.
Fixed connections and WiFi
A fixed internet connection can be realized in almost every room in the Beurs van Berlage. The fixed connection provides security in use with a constant bandwidth of 10, 100 or even more than 100 Mbit / s full duplex (up / download speed equal). This makes it possible to create your own network.
Livestream is also possible with this, and a dedicated line can be installed in a stand or demo room for very high operational reliability.
WiFi access points / dishes provide wireless access to a fixed Ethernet network for users. Access points are connected to a switch and send wireless signals. Own secure WiFi cloud with user name and password to choose.
For the fixed lines as well as for WiFi a maximum joint bandwidth of 700 Mbit / s applies, on request (at least 4 weeks in advance) bandwidths up to 2Gb / s are possible.
Different networks can be run or defined on the Beurs van Berlage infrastructure at the same time. In this way, individual services within an event (press, counter, production, sponsors) can be connected separately, which ensures extra security, less disruption and a smoother faster flow of (internet) data.
Fibre optic connections
Live TV / Radio
The fiber optic (or a part of it) can be configured for Live TV / Radio broadcasts. A direct connection to the Media Gateway and Master Control room (= live TV switching center) in Hilversum is possible.
Also a live TV broadcast in another country or continent or the Live streaming to (a) YouTube (channel) are possible.
Third fiber optic connection
A third fiber optic connection comes in via another provider and has a standard bandwidth of 400 Mbit/s. This bandwidth is currently used for the breakout rooms and part of the fixed lines that are requested at an event. This bandwidth per month can be increased or decreased. This connection has two routes. One goes towards the internet and the other directly (outside the internet) to the MediaGateway in Hilversum.
Loading and unloading takes place via the special entrances on the Beursstraat. To get to the Beursstraat, first drive towards the “Bijenkorf parking garage”. Drive to the entrance of the parking garage and then turn left into Beursstraat.
Beursstraat
We would like to point out that it is forbidden to drive into the Beursstraat with lorries larger than seven tons. You can request an exemption for this. It is not possible to leave Beursstraat with trucks longer than 10 meters, reversing backwards is the only way.
The loading and unloading areas in the Beursstraat are not only of the Beurs van Berlage, but of all companies located in this street. A permit can be requested from the municipality, whereby the loading and unloading areas are insured. Parking is not permitted in the loading and unloading areas. Beurs van Berlage is not liable for any fines.
With a lot of loading and unloading, you will receive a loading and unloading schedule through our event manager. During loading and unloading, a doorman will always be available to operate the lift.
Your event manager will tell you where to load and unload for your event.
Approach routes
Due to the many activities in the city centre, the approach routes to the Beurs van Berlage are constantly changing.

Amsterdam Conference Centre Beurs van Berlage is located in the centre of Amsterdam, on the Damrak, Oude Brugsteeg and Beursstraat, directly facing Amsterdam Central Station, at a short distance of highways and Schiphol airport. The Damrak forms part of a route that gives a visitor to the city a first impression, after leaving the central station. This route, which is called 'the Red Carpet', goes from the Central Station along the Rokin, the Muntplein, the Vijzelstraat/-gracht to the Weteringcircuit.
Public transportation
From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, you can reach Amsterdam Conference Centre Beurs van Berlage by train or taxi. If you are travelling by train, you can buy a ticket to Amsterdam Centraal Station in the Arrivals Hall of Schiphol. The trains leave four times every hour and the journey takes about fifteen minutes. If you take a taxi, you can state “Beurs van Berlage” as your destination. The address is: Damrak 243. The drive takes about twenty-five minutes.
When you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal Station by train or by tram, Beurs van Berlage is 300 metres away, about a five minute walk. You can see Beurs van Berlage on the Damrak in front of you when you leave the Central Station along the Stationsplein (Station square) and head out towards the Dam from there.
When you decide to take the tram or bus, several tram and bus stops can be found within 5 minutes walking distance, on the Dam (Bijenkorf or Magnaplaza) and Dam/Raadhuisstraat.

Accessible for everyone
The Beurs van Berlage is accessible to everyone. Despite the monumental status and the many stairs in the Beurs, we have the facilities to welcome less abled visitors.
The Beurs van Berlage is also fully prepared for visitors with visual impairments. For example, not only are there clear markings on the stairs to mark the end of the stairs, but our elevators are also equipped with buttons that take visitors with a visual impairment into account.
Finally, the Beurs van Berlage also has sanitary facilities that are fully equipped for visitors with a disability. Sufficient space, equipped with an alarm if help is needed, ensures that less abled visitors to the Beurs van Berlage can also safely make a sanitary stop.

Private transportation
In the immediate surroundings of Beurs van Berlage, there are a large number of carparks. In the event of a conference or event, it is possible to order various types of exit tickets for your guests, in the Q-park carpark in the Bijenkorf and the Oosterdok carpark. Five days before the start of your event at the latest, you can notify us of the number of exit tickets you wish to order.
