The pandemic hit the event industry hard. Everything at the Beurs van Berlage also came to a standstill overnight. But Evelien van Kessel, Director of Sales, is not giving up. She and her colleagues look at what is possible. This is how plan B came about, in which opportunities are used with a lot of creativity to give visitors an unforgettable experience digitally. This turned out to be so successful that the Beurs will continue with it. Van Kessel is therefore optimistic about the post-corona era. “I believe in a full return of live events. In combination with online, much more return can be achieved, especially for organisers and sponsors.”
