A rich history
Discover the magic of the historic Bistro Berlage, located in what was once the bustling main entrance of the Commodity Exchange in the Beurs van Berlage complex. A place where traders gathered, hung their coats, and stepped through the grand doors into the Great Hall, driven by a passion for commerce and prosperity.
The vestibule of the Beurs van Berlage houses a unique treasure: three symbolic tile panels by Jan Toorop. These artworks challenge visitors with visions of a possible future and reflect on the cycles of time and society. Restored and given a new home after careful renovations, these masterpieces remain a captivating display of Impressionism, Symbolism, and Pointillism.
