During the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, an incident occurred in which the main entrance of Beurs van Berlage was defaced with green paint. The defacement of the main entrance has been linked to an event currently taking place at Beurs van Berlage, identified as the Regenerative Agriculture & Food Systems Summit.
We believe it is important for people to have the freedom to hold differing views and express their opinions. This freedom of expression applies both on our stage and at our doorstep. Organisations also have the right to decide whether or not to make an event public.
While we fully support the right to protest, we find the destruction of property — particularly that of a national monument — completely unacceptable.
