Resilient Borders in a Changing World
On 18 and 19 November 2025, the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) will host the 8th International Border Management Conference at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam. Under the theme “Resilient Borders in a Changing World”, this edition brings together border-management practitioners, policymakers and security experts from across the globe to explore the evolving role of borders in migration, mobility and security.
The conference programme will focus on key issues such as the implementation of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum, the roll-out of the Entry/Exit System (EES) and the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS), technological innovations in border control, return and readmission policies, human-rights frameworks, and trans-national crime.
