At the Amsterdam Conference Centre Beurs van Berlage, we prioritise sustainability in all aspects of our operations. One of our key focus areas is
water, and we’re excited to introduce our Sustainable Drinking Water Initiative as part of our broader sustainability strategy.
To minimise the environmental impact of our events, we have eliminated the need for bottled water transportation. Instead, we offer locally sourced, filtered tap water through stylish Join the Pipe water stations located throughout the Beurs. This initiative significantly reduces plastic waste and transportation emissions, aligning with our commitment to eco-friendly practices.
Tap water is the most sustainable beverage available. It requires no packaging or transportation and is readily available through a wellmaintained underground network. By choosing tap water, we avoid the environmental cost of bottling and transporting water in trucks, significantly reducing our carbon footprint.
Next to glasses on our water taps, we offer reusable Amsterdam City water bottles made from sustainable sugarcane as part of our collaboration with Join the Pipe. These bottles are BPA-free, dishwasher safe, and designed to be reused daily.
As an organiser you can custom-brand these bottles with your event of company logo, making them a perfect keepsake for your conference attendees. By using these bottles, your guests can conveniently refill their water at any of our tap stations.
We are committed to playing a leading role in sustainability within the events industry. By collaborating with conference organisers and other partners, we can create events that are not only valuable for participants but also have a positive and lasting impact on the world around us. We invite you to join us on our sustainability journey and work together towards a better future.
