Within the the Jubilee Year of the Beurs van Berlage, a competition has been set up for charity organisations. Six organisations went to battle to pitch their dream event in the former Stock Exchange to a jury consisting of the Management of the Beurs van Berlage and Maison van den Boer, but also the staff of the Beurs van Berlage.

General Director Marcel Schonenberg revealed the result: "The votes have been counted and a party has come true where we are all very happy, because this party fits well with us and also in our building. The drum roll can start now, but before I mention the name, I want to thank all participants again for the dedication. The party committee of the Beurs van Berlage came up with this and you came to the conclusion that it was worth it and we see that as a compliment. Unfortunately, we can not facilitate all six events, but we will secretly save them. Because who knows what will happen in the future. But for now we are looking forward to the Resto VanHarte event unbelievably. "

Resto VanHarte is overwhelmed by the results. "We did not expect this at all! There were big names in the fight and yet the jury chose us ", says General Manager Rob Kars.

Resto van Harte is a social organisation with the mission to combat loneliness and social isolation. It organises meeting places (the Resto's) in which local residents actively participate. Because the Beurs van Berlage is a symbol for meetings in the heart of the city, Resto van Harte wants to organise a large-scale theater dinner on September 15, 2018. This dinner is all about connection and is aimed at Amsterdammers who miss this connection. The theater production '' Forget me not '', subject to loneliness, will take place prior to dinner. Subsequently, the tables can be discussed with the invited Amsterdammers from all walks of life, who experience or try to counter loneliness. As a final spectacle, the dining tables will make room for the Dance Palace, which will then be opened.
