After the postponement of the performance on December 12 last year, we are pleased to inform you that Theresienstadt's Requiem will take place in the Beurs van Berlage on Sunday evening, June 19.

Voices of resistance

The gripping concert drama Requiem van Theresienstadt tells the story of the camp inmates in Theresienstadt concentration camp, who performed Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem sixteen times in 1943/44 as an act of resistance. The last time was on June 23, 1944 for the International Red Cross and senior German Nazis, including Adolf Eichmann.

Theresienstadt's Requiem consists of the performance of Verdi's complete Requiem, in combination with narrations, historical film images and video fragments of interviews with survivors. Theresienstadt's Requiem is organized by 'Stichting Requiem van Theresienstadt: Stemmen van Verzet' in collaboration with. Bee Agency.
