The Hearthstone Tour World Championship, a major Esports tournament for the Hearthstone
card game, which was shown for four days at the Amsterdam Conference Centre Beurs van Berlage in January 2018.
A hard-wired internet connection is possible in almost every room in the Beurs van Berlage. This gives you added assurance and a constant bandwidth. (There is a choice of 10, 100, or 300 Mbit/s – both up and down and with or without a public IP address). This means that a live stream is possible, connecting a specific device or creating your own network, enabling you to make use of the VLANs configured by the Beurs van Berlage.
Finally, the fibre-optic network (or part of it) can be configured for live TV or radio broadcasts. A direct connection with the Media Gateway and master control room in Hilversum is possible. Other options include live TV broadcasts in another country or part of the
world or live streaming to YouTube.
Sixteen of the best Hearthstone players competed for a combined prize pool of 1 million dollars. The winner received 250,000 dollars, the number two 150,000 dollar and the number three 100,000
dollars. Tickets could be ordered to watch the battle in person at the Grote Zaal or you could watch via livestream provided by the Conference Centre.
