Amsterdam area is preparing to celebrate cocoa and chocolate during the Amsterdam Cocoa & Chocolate Week in February. The World Cocoa Foundation will organise their Partnership Meeting in Amsterdam on the 6-7 February in the same venue as Chocoa. 

Amsterdam is the largest cocoa port in the world, an important hub for business and for innovative thinking on the sustainability of the cocoa value chains.  So, mark your calendars, other cocoa and chocolate related initiatives are being prepared as we speak. A week not to miss!  

Featuring all of the well-known parts like the Trade Fair, European Markets Academy, Amsterdam Sustainable Cocoa Conference, Chocolate Makers’ Forum, Grand Diner du Chocolat and the Chocolate Consumer Festival….

Fair for Special Journeys Amsterdam 2024

At this special holiday fair you will not find any tourist information stands, but almost exclusively specialized tour operators, who often offer a country or a type of travel and know everything about it! In addition to going off the beaten track, ‘special’ also means that your journey only starts in the country or area of arrival. These are often active holidays and not sitting or beach holidays.

An event that stimulates the fashion industry in the Netherlands

The Netherlands is an international leader in the fashion industry. Our country has big and well-known fashion names, who are also at the top internationally. We have thriving and leading fashion schools. But … there is no annual fashion award gala, which offers Dutch fashion talents a platform. A gala like the one that takes place with great grandeur in London, Paris, New York and Milan. The Netherlands needs such an event! The Dutch Lion Awards Foundation will work hard for this.

Dutch Lions Awards aims to put the Netherlands higher on the map as a fashion country. Partly because of the annual Fashion Awards Gala. We strive for a better image of the Netherlands as a fashion country. We want to integrate diversity and inclusion more into the fashion world.

During the event, led by presenter Art Rooijakkers, 5 top researchers were honored and the award was awarded to Prof. dr. Iris Sommer, who is now able to conduct research on the relationship between the intestines and the brain, thus improving the lives of half a million Dutch people with a brain disorder.

We have chosen to hold this festive event in the Beurs van Berlage. Not only because of the fantastic appearance and accessibility of the location, but also because of the enormous hospitality we experienced from the very first contact.

In addition to this hospitality, we also experienced a large dose of flexibility during the course of the preparation process. The original plan for a “traditional” event changed into a digital concept within a few months. All thanks to the cooperation of the Beurs van Berlage and its “technical people”. Despite the fact that our guests could not be present live, they still got the real Beurs feeling because of the beautiful decor in the unique ambiance of the Effectenbeurszaal.

From the very first moment that corona emerged, the safety of us and our guests was of main importance. During the preparations as well as on the evening itself, everything was done to ensure our safety by following all corona guidelines. I have experienced this as very pleasant.

Ultimate European Smash Ball Team Cup 2019

During the final of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate European Smash Ball Team Cup 2019 the best teams in Europe enter the ring. The tournament took place on May 4 and 5 in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam. The European champion could prepare for the World Championship, which was  held in Los Angeles on 8 June. Fans who wanted to encourage their favorite team during the final in Amsterdam could sign up for a limited number of tickets. If you could not make it, you could follow the live stream on Twitch and on YouTube.
