For the 40th time already, the best known and largest beer festival held in the Netherlands: the PINT Bockbeer Festival will take place. Started in a small Amsterdam cafe its now grown into an event for around 12000 visitors. Since 1994 this event has been organized at the event venue Beurs van Berlage. In total there are around the 100 beers, but also some from Belgium and Germany.

The almost complete range of Dutch Bock beers will be present and people are able to taste everything fresh from the barrel. Annually, almost every brewer makes a bock bier. Bock Beer is from origin a party beer, that’s why this festival is organized.

In addition, there will be live music in a separate room, not to mention an excellent atmosphere. The uniqueness of this concept is that you get a glass at the entrance and after you taste a beer you can rinse your glass and move on to the next beer stand.

Promotion Information Traditional Beer. Those are the words where PINT stands for. PINT was founded in 1980 with the aim: Improving the beer culture culture in the Netherlands. PINT organizes different festivals, beer tasting, excursions and many other things. PINT is also there for the interests of the beer consumers. Independence is, therefore the power of the organisation.

PINT is becoming more active at European level. Nowadays there are more rules from Brussels and therefore the opinion of the beer consumer is really important. For the Dutch beer consumer is a the lobby in Brussels of great importance. That’s the reason why PINT is member of EBCU, the European Beer Consumers Union.

The opening hours are:

  • Friday, 27 October: from 5 pm till 11 pm
  • Saturday, 28 October: from 12 noon till 11 pm
  • Sunday, 29 October: from 12 noon till 7 pm

Tickets are available at the door or via e-ticket for a price of €20,-. This will give you entrance to the venue, a unique festival glass and three consumption coins. Seperate coins cost €3,- a piece. The entrance fee of €20,- can only be paid with cash. In the venue it is possible to buy more coins with a card.
