Remco works as a psychotherapist in private practice in Maastricht, the Netherlands. He was trained and supervised in Schema Therapy and specialized in borderline patients, patients with cluster C personality disorders and anxiety and depressive disorders.
Remco van der Wijngaart is founder and head of the Dutch Institute for Schema Therapy . In collaboration with other experienced schema therapists, he provides audio visual productions, training and supervision in schema therapy. He hosted the International Society of Schema Therapy’s Congress 2018 at the Beurs van Berlage.
