Hans Huitink currently works in various hospitals and combines this with education and medical advice work. He has written many articles and is (co) author of medical books in his areas of interest. He is considered by others to be an expert in advanced airway management, neuro-anesthesia, and high-fidelity medical simulation. He is founder and director of the Airway Management Academy and member of the International Advisory Panel of Anesthesia Journal.
He was the local chairman of the second World Airway Management Meeting 2019, which was organized in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam: “It was a great success. There were 1800 participants from more than 75 countries. The layout with chairs and rooms and audiovisual equipment was perfect. It went smoothly despite the fact that we had a lot of headachesmwhether so many people would fit in the building."
